- Is in charge of the OPD area.
- Responsible for the appointment scheduling for the different consultants.
- Responsible to check the doctors’ comfortable working conditions in the OPD area.
- Authorized to collect the OPD feedback forms, scrutinize and submit it to the higher authority.
- Authorized to deal with the complicated issues and report to Manager.
- To meet and greet patients, members of the public and visitors to the practice in a friendly and courteous manner
- To direct patients to the appropriate professional,
- To fix appointments / consultation with doctors / consultant for patients, visitor, M.R. etc
- If a doctor is not coming or coming late, to inform other departments of the same.
- Filing of medical notes, letters, test results and other correspondence
- Register new patients on the computer system
- Participation when requested, in the delivery and collection of items to and from Trust, hospitals or any other place on practice business
- Comply with all in house and statutory Health & Safety procedures
- Attend practice meetings
- Attend training courses in house and externally to develop expertise and further knowledge
- Any duty that may be properly deemed by the Centre Manager or Doctors to be part of the role of receptionist
- Check all things in the OPD are in the proper place.
- Check for any over left by second shift receptionist.
- Guide the patient to the payment counter to make the case paper.
