- Developing a plan & schedule of day to day activities
- Ensures that drug laws & rules (FDA) applicable to pharmacy are properly followed
- Establishing a system of records and bookkeeping in cooperation with the accounting departments for patient charges and for control
- Expiry Management
- Hospital formulary revision
- Implementing the decisions of the therapeutic committee
- Inspection of all pharmaceuticals supplies at user points.
- Interaction with the company’s personnel for up to date information about new drugs
- Maintenance of approved stock of drugs/ medicines/ and other emergency drugs.
- Manage, supervise the purchase & inventory control of drugs
- Promoting training programmes for pharmacists, nurse, doctor
- Preparing periodic reports & returns on pharmacy services utilisation.
- Preparing periodic reports giving all information on pharmacy activities
- Preparing pharmacy policies in consonance with the established policies of the hospital
- Responsible for development, supervision & coordination of all activities of the pharmacy department
- Specifications of all drugs, chemicals, antibiotics, biological and pharmaceutical preparations
- Supervises the working of pharmacy coordinator, supervisor, pharmacists, trainees, office assistants & attendants
- The dispensing of drugs/chemicals / and pharmaceutical preparations.
- To ensure that the Chief pharmacists, pharmacists and attendants carry out their assigned functions & duties effectively
