Quarterly audit stock checking

• • The stock verification is done by chief pharmacist
  • Each category of medicine is checked physically through records of purchase, sale, refund, indent/ issue, stock transfers, & stock taken last month.
  • The list for stock-taking has the following particulars:
    • Category of drug/ medicine.
    • Brand name
    • Quantity
    • Batch number
    • Expiry date
    • Manufacture
    • Distributor
    • Location
    • Quantity counted
    • Quantity as per records.
    • Quantity as per store
    • Discrepancy (if any)
    • Discrepancy after reconciliation
    • Signature of the chief pharmacist
    • The action is taken in case of discrepancy
• Apart from this quarterly stock quantity audit, a complete stock audit is done by the senior pharmacist along with the PTC committee members in all the department and also in the pharmacy.
